Young years

Born on the 7th of May, 1974, in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. Spent his childhood and adolescence close to nature devoting many hours to the joy of studying music, guitar playing and technology gadgets. At school enjoyed physics and geometry.


Economist

MSc in economics, worked nine years for the Brazilian Stock Exchange (Bovespa). First hired as a trainee, in five years was in charge of a 52-person team responsible for the development and operation of strategic products. Implemented Tesouro Direto (Treasury Direct), a revolutionary web based product that allowed Federal Bonds investment by individuals. Wrote a book on the rearrangement need for the Brazilian payment system, published by a major editor. Joined HSBC Brazil for a task force project. Quit the financial market in search for his true self.


New fields

Started filmmaking classes. Dropped out 6 months later and decided to buy a video camera. After some observing, experiencing and studying, the interest in still photography emerged. Moved out of São Paulo to be in touch with Nature. In 2010 released his first short movie, "Saint John Village: a Mrs. Lu's portrait". In 2012 launched "LeandroSouza's Net", a virtual container of websites assembled as a tool for his work.
